Because of this quote, I wonder how this book can make a legend from China to be a romantic story in Islam view. Quote that reminds me with one manga I read when I was in middle school, story about Hiroshima God and Hikoboshi Goddess from Japan. Then I will destroy all kind of obstacles, so my love can reach to her Maka akan kutaklukkan penghalang segala rupa agar sampai cintaku padanya”. Please teach me the love bond spell of Ahei and Ashima, “Ajarkan aku mantra pengikat cinta Ahei dan Ashima, There is one quote on the back cover of book which gets my interest at the first: Though, I can guess in the middle of book how the ”portrait of puzzle” will be look like, it can’t stop me for reading this book till the end. Not only that, Nadia is also so good creating the riddle that be presented in two love story from two names of Ra and Asma, bring the reader to combine the puzzle in each chapter of book, until finally get the “portrait of final answer” in the end of book. Nadia, the author, (OK, I decided not to call the author with Asma, since one of character of this book is also named Asma), so damn smart taking the legend of love story of Ahei and Ashima from Bamboo Curtain Country as the basis, and packaged the story being interested by wrapping it with many Islamic messages and very beautiful, sweet and pure quotes. Yes, this book successfully fuddle me to keep explore it until the last chapter. And THAT SENSATION comes to me again when I read novel of “Assalamualaikum Beijing!” by Asma Nadia.
The first book that taught me how beautiful the meaning of love in Islam.
I still remember how I used to be in crazy with novel of “Ayat-Ayat Cinta” by Habiburrahman, read many times especially in the chapter I loved so much, and deeply fell in love with Fahri, the main character in that book. It has been a while, OK maybe “a long time” since I fell so in love with Islamic Romance Novel. BOOK REVIEW: ASSALAMUALAIKUM BEIJING! (ASMA NADIA)
